“This new colleague will play a pivotal role in supporting me in my role. Basically, he/she will lead operations in our Amsterdam headquarters in my absence. The Chief of Staff will have a major impact on our success in delivering on the 5-year strategy of our company. He/she will contribute substantially to our organizational transformation towards a more customer-focused firm and will deal with a broad portfolio of strategic projects on topics like culture change, product portfolio and -innovation, and minimization. Also, the Chief of Staff will be asked to develop a strong back-office, and project management organization, that offers word-class support to our senior leadership team."

Polpharma’s global leadership team consists of five people: CEO (Markus Sieger), Head of Strategy (Christian Ludwig). Head of Commercial (Simon Clark), Head of Industrial Operations & Quality (Thomas Nothegger), and Head of Business Development (Robert Knerr). This team is also referred to as the Polpharma Group Executive Committee.
In view of the strategic ambitions of the company and the increasing need for the CEO office to provide guidance, a new role has been created for a Chief of Staff. This new role reports directly into the CEO.
