What you are going to do

With 9 million account holders, ING is one of the largest and most prominent financial service providers in the Netherlands and part of ING Group, a global financial institution. ING Group has clients in more than 40 countries in Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia and Australia.

The Benelux head of talent drives the implementation and execution of talent management, employer branding and talent acquisition activities that are strategically linked to ING Benelux’s mission and strategy and aimed to assess, develop and manage the organization’s talent pool. The role is accountable for assessment of succession pipeline strength, development of key talent segments and the evaluation of the effectiveness of the organization's talent strategies. The role is aligned to the  global CoE Talent & Learning and leads a team of approx. 5-7 experts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Talent acquisition strategy and execution within ING Benelux;
  • Talent development execution in ING Benelux;
  • Employer branding for ING Benelux;
  • Succession planning for ING Benelux;
  • Co-develop future-proof tools and processes as part of a global CoE community. 


  • University degree preferred; 
  • Previous work experience is minimum of 10 years, of which minimum of 3 years in a blend of Talent Management, Talent Acquisition and Talent Development roles;
  • Has worked previously in an international matrix organisation;
  • Experienced in change management, both with senior management stakeholders as well as line managers and employees.


  • Highly business- and results-focused;
  • Process-minded & driven: able to understand and oversee a process from beginning to end in a complex matrix organization; 
  • Comfortable working in an environment in which businesses processes, tools, deadlines etc. are continually evolving;
  • Highly detail-oriented, analytic, energetic and self-motivated individual; 
  • Resourceful in overcoming roadblocks that hinder processes;
  • Ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously;
  • Collaborative and able to work effectively with others inside and outside of own team.
